Vetbudget writes about Vetbudget. This policy explains the data side of visiting vetbudget.com in plain terms.
Choices Available to You
Subject to your location, you may request access to your data, its correction or deletion, a portable copy, or restriction of its use, and you may opt out of sale or sharing for advertising. These entitlements flow from the UK/EU GDPR and from US state law including the CCPA/CPRA. Global Privacy Control signals are respected automatically. See our State Privacy Notice and Do Not Sell or Share.
Third-Party Services
Providers in the chain include the host that serves vetbudget.com, any analytics tool we run, the mailing platform, and ad networks where advertising appears. Where those parties set their own purposes they are independent controllers, and you should read their notices as well as this one.
Storage on Your Device
Rather than duplicate it here, cookie detail lives in our Cookie Policy.
Where advertising is served, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
Holding Periods and Security
Nothing is kept longer than it is needed for. Analytics data ages out on the provider’s schedule, subscriber addresses last until you unsubscribe, comments stay until removed. Access is limited, connections are encrypted in transit, and while no site can promise perfect security, we take reasonable and proportionate measures.
Our Newsletter
Email goes only to people who asked for it, verified by a double opt-in step. Each send includes an unsubscribe link and a postal address, and unsubscribing takes effect straight away.
What Comes In
Visiting vetbudget.com may generate ordinary technical information — IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages opened. Anything you type in yourself, such as an email address for the newsletter or a name against a comment, is collected only because you chose to provide it. There is one niche-specific commitment behind this policy — we ask readers not to send us sensitive personal details, and we delete rather than retain anything of that kind that reaches us unprompted.
Children’s Privacy
This is not a children’s site. It is not directed to under-13s (or under-16s where that threshold applies), no data is knowingly collected from them, and any that arrives is deleted once identified.
How We Use It
Purposes: operating vetbudget.com; measuring which of our guides, comparisons and reference pages draw readers; sending the newsletter to subscribers; and supporting advertising where it is displayed.
